TESTIMONIALS

“I am very thankful that God guided me to The Gilead House. I was powerless and needed help. At the GH I found that many of the support staff and counselors have personally fought and won against an addiction. I found this very inspiring as they have “been there and done that”, and could relate to my struggles. Everyone was very loving, compassionate, and more that supportive of my journey, along with my future.”

” The way the building is set up (you feel at home, and get your own space) and the way the 90 day program is structured contributes greatly to Gilead House’s success. The staff truly care. And most importantly there’s the loving, welcoming, and encouraging atmosphere that is Ms. Reba’s legacy. The Holy Spirit is truly at work within those walls. What Gilead did for me went so much deeper than addiction recovery. It is truly a place off healing. I am forever grateful!  ”

“Addiction is a disease, not a choice. Most people, including some who suffer from addiction, do not understand this concept. I’ve suffered from addiction for many years and I have been successful in sobriety for many years as well. Most recently, I had been living in sobriety for 15 years, but then, unfortunately, experienced a relapse. My search for help led me to The Gilead House, where this journey of sobriety has been different than any other time in the past. The Gilead House has offered me a safe, loving and supportive environment to not only learn about but also treat the underlying cause of relapse, which is the disease of addiction. The Gilead House staff are professionals with the desire to see their clients succeed. Being a part of The Gilead House has given me the opportunity to strengthen my relationship with God, become more self-aware, build a support system and develop the tools to prevent failure in the future.

“I was a resident at the Gilead House, and the program taught me how to live a normal life. I completed the program and my probation, and I am now employed as a support staff team leader at the Gilead House. I now share my story and help other women with their addictions.”

” G-house saved my life! Gave my parents there child back, gave my kids there mother back and helped me become the person i always should have been! Its my forever home filled with a healing energy that takes a drug depending person and transforms them into a beautiful butterfly ready to handle life without drugs!”

“The Gilead House has saved my life and my purpose again. I came here from jail; I had lost my home, and I had lost my kids in a DCS case. I have been an addict for most of my adult life, but with the help of the Gilead House, I am gaining everything back. I have been clean for over a year, I have gotten my driver’s license, I now get four visits a week with my children, my DCS case is coming to a close, and I am looking for a place to reunite. I now work at a job that I love. I bought a car, and I look forward to the future. I love the Gilead House. Ms. Reba and the staff have changed my life and helped make everything possible for me to grow and succeed.”

“The Gilead House has been a safe place to develop the tools needed to nurture and maintain my sobriety.  More than that, these women and this house have become a second home and family, full of love, encouragement, guidance, and hope.  I am so grateful to Ms. Reba, Kylee, Sherry, and all of the staff for believing in me.  With their help, I have learned that God has a greater plan for me. I am worthy and I can succeed.  Thank God for the Gilead House and all who serve there.”

A few words about us

Gilead House, Inc.’s goal is to provide comprehensive addiction treatment to women in a residential setting and to foster a supportive, inclusive environment where each person can achieve lasting recovery and a productive, lawful, and healthy life. Through evidence-based modalities, personalized support, and community integration, we strive to empower our residents, including those who face the challenges of re-entry from jail or prison, to overcome addiction, build resilience, and increase positive relationships that promote sobriety and law-abiding behaviors.

We encourage personal transformation, mutual respect, and responsible community living.

Why what we do matters

Let’s GET REAL for a moment. The reality of addiction involves the pattern and cycle of addiction and what it takes to recover from its depths. Our clients – all women – can find themselves homeless and struggling with addiction for a variety of complex and interrelated reasons. It’s not a one-size-fits-all situation, and this reality isn’t limited by socioeconomic factors.

Visit GILEAD HOUSE

The Gilead House specializes in drug and alcohol addiction recovery and provides resources to those re-entering society from jail or prison.

We do this in three ways:

  1. We offer personalized outreach programs and services for broken, forgotten, and hopeless women and their children.
  2. We provide educational and training programs that equip people with the tools they need to succeed at home, work, and in their local communities.
  3. We provide an environment where the women can find hope, believe in themselves, and break the cycle of addiction that has cripled them.
